PLAYER PLUS

The Player Plus tournament is held in May each year at the Nottingham Tennis Centre and provides the coach with an opportunity to sit courtside with their player during matches of the highest competitive standard.

The tournament attracts the best players from the UK at under 14 level and has traditionally attracted a strong contingent of overseas players. Past finalists of the tournament include Andy Murray and Tommy Robredo.

FORMAT

MAIN DRAW

36 players per event split into 12 round robin groups of three. Up to 12 players from international teams will be invited per main draw event. All 12 group winners will then be placed into four further round robin groups which will provide the 4 semi-finalists for the knockout stage. Identical procedure for those finishing 2nd and 3rd in the initial groups. This format will guarantee each player four matches, weather permitting.

QUALIFYING EVENT

12 players per event will play in round-robin boxes of 3, leading to a knockout draw with additional bonus matches for losers, weather permitting. 2 boys and 2 girls will progress to the main event.
