We are a friendly club with excellent facilities and plenty of opportunities for league tennis and social play whatever your age or ability. We offer a comprehensive coaching programme for juniors from 3 to 18 years and adult courses for complete beginners upwards with our level 4 LTA qualified Senior Club Coach.
The club has four all weather floodlit macadam courts allowing play every day of the year up to 10pm and a comfortable modern clubhouse. We are located at Sharpham Road Playing Fields next to Cheddar reservoir with the picturesque Mendip Hills behind.
Tennis for all. Men & Mixed teams all year. Social tennis all year round. Kids, match-play and ‘rusty racquets’ coaching at very reasonable rates with our LTA qualified coach.
Welcome to Hemyock Tennis Club. Established in 1983, Hemyock Tennis Club currently has over 100 members of all ages and abilities – and is always looking for new people to join! Whether you want to play every week, just casually, or become a temporary member while on holiday in the Blackdown Hills, we look forward to meeting you.
We have three hard courts for your use, set in the beautiful Blackdown Hills. We cover the Upper Culm Valley area, with Members from Clayhidon, Dunkeswell, Culmstock, Blackborough, Churchinford and as far away as Honiton. We have access to the Longmead Pavilion, located right alongside the tennis courts. Especially useful in the winter months, we have floodlights on 2 of the courts.
The Club has a a magnificent setting and provides a great backdrop for playing Tennis, regardless of playing standard. Whether you’re an experienced county player or someone who hasn’t played since school days, we can meet your needs.
Tennis, fun, sun and friendship – what more could you ask for? Well we can’t promise the sun but you’re guaranteed the other three!
Located just above Porthminster beach, our two all weather courts are used by members throughout the year. Visitors are welcome on a pay and play basis and courts can be booked on this website with a credit or debit card.
With the aid of a grant from Sport England in 2013, our new clubhouse was completed and we can now welcome players with disabilities. If you need more information contact us and we are happy to help.
