MARK COX JOINS THE TEAM
Former top twenty world ranked player Mark Cox has been appointed as the new president of the BTCA.

"I am delighted to join the Board as President and hope that I can contribute to everyone's benefit" said Mark. "I feel it is important for British coaches to have an independent voice and clearly it is in everyone's interests to be working together as the ultimate interests of tennis being a successful game are common"
Mark needs no introduction to tennis coaches, having been ranked as high as 14 in the world during his illustrious playing career. He has been an influential figure at the LTA and was instrumental in setting up a structured performance structure in Britain. He is well-known as a respected BBC Wimbledon commentator and is currently Director of Tennis at Win Tennis, on of the most successful High Performance Centres in the country.
Mark's appointment comes as a result of the resignation of Sammy Brancker who has decided that now is the right time to handover to someone else to work with the new BTCA Board. Sammy and recent chairman Jane Poynder have had a major influence on the success of the BTCA for over fifteen years and seen the organisation through some challenging times. We plan to pay tribute to them both in the March issue of Coachline so can you please let us have your thoughts and comments by February 14th at the usual address.
