ALL CHANGE AT THE TOP

The Annual Conference saw significant changes in the structure of the BTCA board. Jim Edgar (pictured right) has taken over from Jane Poynder as Chairman and we also have three new faces on the Board - Dave Sammel, Paul Bradfield and Nick Elliott.
It is an appropriate moment to recognise the significant contributions the outgoing members of the board - Jane, Alison Allard and John Willis - have made to the BTCA and all three have been very supportive of the changes made in our organisation in the last eighteen months. I am sure I speak for all members in thanking them for their time, expertise and contribution made to the BTCA and hope they will continue to play an active role in the future of the organisation.
Final Phase
The new board have already met and have outlined their commitment to continue the development of the BTCA in the coming year. There will be some significant changes in early 2008, including:
- The introduction of a new trading name for the association -
Tennis Coach UK
- A major overhaul of our membership fee structure to ensure we provide the best possible value for money for ALL members
- A review of how we liaise with the LTA to ensure that we have a more effective means of communicating with our governing body.
I believe this final phase of changes will complete the major restructuring of our trade association and place us in a strong position to ensure we remain the premier coach support agency in Britain. As ever, your feedback is important to us so please ensure you complete the coach survey when it is made available in early 2008.
Details of all of the improvements will be sent to members on or around 23rd January 2008 in the next issue of Coachline.
