TENNISCOACHUK is the independent professional body for tennis coaches in the UK. Coaches pay a yearly membership fee to join the organisation of just £49!
We operate a fair and equitable policy for all coaches and assistants - everyone pays the same fee and qualifies for the same benefits and services.
Coaches with a recognised coaching qualification are eligible to join us, including coaches trained by the LTA, PTR, RPT and ITA, as well as any foreign coach with a recognised qualification from their home federation. We also accept membership from assistants who have attended a minimum of two days accredited training with a recognised training body.

Standard membership for all coaches and assistants is just £49 for a calendar year and includes the following benefits and services:
EFFECTIVE REPRESENTATION - we ask and listen to your views and opinions on the issues affecting your profession and the sport. We use this feedback to determine what benefits and services we should provide for coaches, and to lobby the governing body on behalf of coaches.
COMPREHENSIVE ADVICE AND SUPPORT SERVICE on all aspects of coaching including contracts, club/centre disputes, mentoring, business matters, legal issues and much much more!
PERSONAL SUPPORT SERVICE - our national office is fully manned during office hours and Mike, Lisa, Sharon and Jo will be happy to assist you with your queries!

TENNISCOACHUK lead the way when it comes to investigating the needs of coaches and providing associated benefits.
We introduced PUBLIC LIABILITY insurance cover for coaches many years ago - the LTA followed our lead, introducing the same cover (for licensed coaches only) in the nineties.
We have been providing post certification TRAINING COURSES for all standards of coaches for decades - the LTA abandoned their training programme in 2008.
We introduced the first regular EMAIL NEWSLETTER for coaches in 2006 and it is still going strong three years later - the LTA copied the idea in 2007 but stopped the service in 2008.
We introduced EMPLOYERS' LIABILITY insurance for coaches in 2006 - the LTA followed our lead by introducing the same cover (for Licensed coaches only) in 2009.
We introduced FREE membership to TENNISPLAYER.NET for members in 2007 - the LTA copied this concept by introducing the same benefit ( for licensed coaches only) in 2009.
We provide COMPREHENSIVE BUSINESS TRAINING & SUPPORT for coaches, including impartial advice on contracts,employment status, VAT, etc. - where we lead, the LTA will surely follow, but not as yet!
