WHO'S WHO

TENNISCOACHUK is the trading name of the British Tennis Coaches' Association (BTCA) and is the professional body for tennis coaches and assistants in the UK.

 

We are the only independent trade association for coaches, i.e. we do not provide coach certification services and so provide impartial advice to coaches and assistants, irrespective of their qualification or who they are working for.

 

We have around 2,650 members (as at September 2009), including many of the leading coaches in the UK and represent coaches with a wide variety of qualifications and nationalities. TenniscoachUK is run by an National Board and a management team based at our head office in Wolverhampton.

NATIONAL OFFICE STAFF

Day to day administration of TenniscoachUK is carried out from our head office in Wolverhampton by a small but very dedicated team!

 

MIKE LYNCH
CHIEF EXECUTIVE

Mike is the Chief Executive of TenniscoachUK, joining the organisation in April 2006. Mike is a CCA qualified coach and has worked at development level in a number of counties, including Kent and Northamptonshire. Before joining us, Mike ran a computer consultancy so has an extensive background in IT and business administration.

 

Mike has overseen a two year transformation of our organisation which has included a rebranding from BTCA to TENNISCOACHUK, a new portfolio of benefits and services, the introduction of a one member one fee structure from the old two tier approach, and a repositioning of the organisation from an LTA affiliated insurance broker to an independent support body for tennis coaches, regardless of their type of qualification.

 

LISA EMMS
OFFICE MANAGER

Lisa is the NATIONAL OFFICE MANAGER, responsible for the smooth running of the national office, including membership and events administration.

 

Lisa is no stranger to sports administration, having worked very successfully for England Squash as an area co-ordinator before joining TenniscoachUK in June of 2008. As well as the overall running of the office, Lisa also manages our supplier affiliation scheme and co-ordinates major events such as the National Conference and Player Plus tournament.

 

SHARON COOPER & JO DAKIN
MEMBERSHIP ADMINISTRATORS

We have two full-time membership administrators in the National Office to provide members with the best possible customer service.

 

Sharon Cooper and Jo Dakin are both responsible for Membership and Event management and bring a wealth of customer service experience with them from their previous positions.
